The Divine Power of Sri Hanuman Chalisa
Composed in the Awadhi dialect by the revered sage Goswami Tulsidas, the Hanuman Chalisa consists of 40 sacred verses extolling the infinite virtues, valour, devotion, and compassion of Lord Hanuman—the embodiment of Rudra Avatara.
Why Recite the Hanuman Chalisa Daily?
Each chaupai (verse) functions as a charged Vedic mantra engineered to align the human biofield with protective divine frequencies:
- Dispelling Fear & Anxiety: 'Bhoot Pisaach Nikat Nahi Aavai, Mahavir Jab Naam Sunavai' — eliminates phantom fears, panic, and nocturnal nightmares.
- Healing Diseases & Pain: 'Naasai Rog Harai Sab Peera, Japat Nirantar Hanumant Veera' — revitalizes pranic energy and aids physical recovery.
- Overcoming Planetary Afflictions: Nullifies malefic influences of Saturn (Shani), Mars (Mangal), Rahu, and Ketu.
- Bestowing Wisdom & Strength: Grants Buddhi (intellect), Bala (vital energy), and Vidya (spiritual knowledge).
Rules for Proper Chanting:
- Take a clean bath and wear fresh clothes (saffron or red attire is particularly auspicious).
- Light a ghee or sesame oil diya before an image or idol of Lord Hanuman and Lord Rama.
- Offer red vermilion (sindoor) or a red flower with sincere devotion.
- Recite with focused awareness, preferably at sunrise (Brahma Muhurta) or twilight (Sandhya).
